We all have our own Proustian madeleine, don't we?
For me, it's the smell of basil; for you, your grandfather's eau de Cologne or a Backstreet Boys song, the things that remind us of the child we once were. And they are all different. We don't share the same references, we are strangers.
But as surprising as it may seem, tonight, for the length of a show, you will see that I am you and you are me.
We have all had a brilliant job just to pay the bills, sorting curtain rails in a superstore, had our heart broken by a girlfriend or a boyfriend, lost our keys on the way to work, bought clothes while overdrawn at the bank, checked our passport 56 times before catching a plane.
In short, real life.
The kind that makes us human, that reminds us where we are without forgetting where we come from, and reminds us of the smell of basil.
In the heart of the Sentier district, Le Métropole is an intimate 100-seat venue designed to let you experience the show as close to the stage as possible.
